The CRACK Allied Assault US 1.10 Patch is an unofficial patch for the game CRACK Medal of Honor Allied Assault by Monolith Productions and Electronic Arts released on August 31, 2002. This patch is compatible with the retail version of the game as well as all versions released after it. The goal of this patch is to provide a more stable and bug-free playing experience over that which is offered by the original release by Monolith and EA without any additional changes or fixes to gamplay or graphics content. Created by the group of fans of the game on forums, that is why it is called CRACK. Most of these patches are used for playing with Open Sauce on the servers, where use of retail version is strictly forbidden. This patch has some advantages over retail version:
Apart from these advantages, there are no new features or fixes included in this patch. These are only corrections that were not implemented in the original release by EA and Monolith. Also unlike many patches that require changes to registry entries for full functionality, this patch requires no changes to any configuration files or registry entries due to its nature as an update to the game executable itself instead of a mod. The following list provides information on how to install this patch. Go to the "Medal of Honor Allied Assault" game directory. If you used the default installation location, it is "c:\\Program Files\\EA GAMES\\MOHAA". If the patch files are not put in this directory, they should be renamed so that they can be differentiated from the ones included in the retail version. Extract the patch files to this directory. After extraction is complete, run "Install_Allied_Assault_US1.10_Patch" and follow instructions on screen until installation finishes and then run "MOHAA Update 1.10". This patch is compatible with Windows 98, ME, NT4.0. The patch requires official 1.10 version of Monolith's Medal of Honor Allied Assault with latest official patches installed or at least the 1.10 patch released with this patch. The game needs to be patched to the same version as the one used by this patch (1.10). Most title updates for retail versions are based on this version, but if not the game would need to be patched up to this version manually using files included in this patch or using third party programs like Microsoft Update or Direct Update if that is allowed by server/network administrator. If the game is already patched to 1.10, the patch can be manually installed through this method. This patch is not compatible with "Combat Operations" MP bugfix.
After completing the installation process, some files need to be updated using "TESTMP".
